Hello to all my friends and customers. We sure had a great rain over the weekend, slow and most of the day. Loren said our rain guage showed 1". Last week was a busy week for me, "Sewing/quilt Club" on Tuesday, Wednesday evening "Board of Education" meeting at church, instructional classes for Bernina 780's on Thursday and Friday, and finished Saturday with "Software Inspiration". It felt good just like a normal week.
Things are happening this week, I can't believe the month of May is almost over.
Monday, the 18th--I'll be working on insurance stuff from home, so if you need something and call--I'll return calls after 12:00 and 4:00.
Embroidery Club--"Chocolate is Good for You" at 6:00 pm
Friday, the 22nd with be instructional machine classes for Babylock Sewing/Embroidery machines.
Saturday the 23rd--Closed for Memorial Weekend. Have a save weekend if your are traveling and let's remember the one who have gone on to be with the Heavenly Father.
Store hours for this next week:
Tuesday through Friday 9:30 am to 4:30pm. If you need a later time please call (620 663-2523 or email (email@example.com). Also I can still special order sewing accessories, notions or vacuum cleaner supplies. The service department is also still open. The present turn around time is 25 to 48 hours providing we don't need to special order any parts.
Should have dates on "Kids Kamp" later this week. Let me know if you are interested. The date will be in June probably on Wednesday's. The projects are jammie bottoms, a simple skirt and pillowcase.

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers of the world. I had a great time last week taking care of two little girls. I got lots of snuggles and hugs. Today we celebrated with the Parsons cook out what a great day.

Sunday, the 11th--work from home on insurance
Tuesday,--the 12th Sewing/Quilting Club at 9:30 am and 7:00 pm. The project is a reversable table topper, I'll give some hints & tip for working with the table runner. No charge just come and have fun. Bring your lastest sewing project for "sew n share"
Thursday & Friday the 14th & 15th--Bernina 7 series Instructional class 9:30 am till 4:00 pm
Saturday, the 16th--Software Inspiration (Bernina's Software Sampler) "I'm framed" Working with artist transfer paper and printable fabric and adding a frame to the picture. Cost $20.00 Call to sign up
Monday, the 18th--Embroidery Club "Chocolate is good for you" We will be talking about working with small lettering. If you would like to stitch out a project please bring your sewing machine. Cost $15.00. Call to sign up.
We are also are working on Kids Kamp program again. Let me know if you have a child that would be interested. We will be making jammy bottoms, a easy to make skirt and a pillowcase. More detail to come. Till next week have a great week. BJ

I'm headed for the KC area to take care of grandchildren. I'll be taking phone calls. If you need any supplies please call me 620 663-2523 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I'll be placing orders on Wednesday or Thursday so that things are in on May the 12th when I'm back in my spot. If you have an emergency with a machine let me know, Loren is around and may be able to help you.
I did Embroidery Club (All About Embroidery) Friday before I left. I will be repeating the program again on Monday May 18th at 6:00 pm. The class is working and talking about small lettering. (Note: If you plan to come to this class please let me know and if you would like to embroidery the project, please bring your embroidery machine.)
Tues. May 12th --Sewing/Quilt Club--We will hand out the last of the block of the month for 2014-2015. Also the lesson ion how to make a reversible table topper and napkins to complete the look.
Thurs & Fri May 14th & 15th--Instructional Guide class for Bernina 780 sewing/embroidery machine (Need the class just call)
Sat. May 16th--Software Inspiration (Learn to work with photographs, print them on "Transfer Artist Paper" or printable fabric. Then create applique frames to stitch around the printed pictures)

Wow!!! Where did April go? Friday it will be May. May is always a special time of year--we celebrate and honor our Mothers and lots of graduations.
Saturday, May the 2nd I will be taking some time off to watch my two littlest granddaughters in KC. Wow!!! Where is the year going? April is almost gone. It's been 3 months since the fire but it seems like last month. For those of you that don't know, they did tear down the front 2/3rd of the the building. So the old store is gone. It was a little tuff seeing the building being destoried. Brought back memories of the night the store was on fire.
The good news is we got some nice rain. It sure made the grass and tree green, it's new life so we move forward.

Also I've had several request for Kids Kamp this summer, so after talking with Joyce Burnham we are going to do it again. The three project for this year will be jammie bottoms, a little skirt and a pillowcase. The classes will probably be held in June. If you know anyone who might like to have their child or grandchild in the class please let me know. We lost our list in the fire. Classes will be limited to 6 per session -- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. More when we get the dates finalized.
One more tidbit -- May the 2nd through the 11th I will be on vacation taking care of my two littlest grandchildren in KC. You will be able to contact me though the store number. If you have an emgerancy with your sewing machines or vacuums Loren will be around to take care of you.

Hello to everyone. It was so nice to have rain Saturday night with no storm. This week schedule is as follows:

Happy Easter to everyone. I had a great Easter the granddaughter were here along with their parents.

Tuesday, the 14th we will have Sewing/Quilt Club at 10:00 am and 7:00 pm. The club meeting will be on applique. We'll be talking about different ways to do applique. I will also hand out the 11th block direction for our block of the month quilt as well as the center block which has applique.

What a beautiful Palm Sunday. Attended a great church service, read the children's story "The Donkey No One Could Ride", had communion and great fellowship afterwards with a pot luck lunch.

What a beauftiful weekend we had. I got to see the four granddaughters this weekend. Two birthdays in one month is tuff on this Grannie. But wouldn't trade it for anything. Now back to the week ahead.
Starting this Monday I will be working from home till further notice. I will have hour and hours of insurance paper work to get done. My phone will be left to voice mail only till 4:00 when I will return phone calls. The store hours will be this next week Tuesday through Friday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Saturday 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Good morning. It's going to be a beautiful week to be outdoors. This is the week that we will start the clean up process at 211 West 5th. Loren and I will have to be there the whole time so it will be very important you contact me either by phone 620 663-2523 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The clean up process is a 10 day to two week time frame. NO CLUB or CLASSES held Monday March 9th through Friday March 13th or Monday March 16th through Friday March 20th. Yes Software Inspiration (formally Software Sampler) will be Saturday March 14th and March 21st. Thanks again for your patience as we work through this fire business. I do plan to get some machine classes scheduled in April as we should be done with clean up. BJ

Sorry I didn't get anything posted last week. I was waiting on a phone before I made plans the month of March. The old store has been released to us for cleanup. The phone call I was waiting on was from the restoration company that will be helping us with the process. It will be a big job as everything needs to be document. Here's the plans for right now.

Had a little snow last night. Sure was pretty. We had a very successful Software Inspiration Club meeting at Cottonwood Quilts this last Saturday. We are planning on the next Software
Inspiration Club meeting (which would have been the Feb. 21 meeting) for February 28th. Please let me or Bev know if you plan to attend.
I'm also making plans to do Embroidery Club and Sewing Club again starting in March. So look at the March calendar for the dates. All club meetings will be held in the Hayes Sight and Sound building 506 N. Main. One thing that is important to me is that
those of you who purchased sewing machines, embroidery machines, or serger PLEASE PLEASE call so that I can schedule your classes. I know who may have purchased but do not have your phone numbers. If you need service on your sewing machines or vacuums please call to that we can get that done for you as well. Good Morning the sun is shining and it's suppose to warm up again. There is beauty in each day, yesterday the wind blew but the snow as so pretty, sometimes it just takes time to see the end results.
Now for an update, I ran away last weekend to spend time with granddaughters in the KC area while thier parents were on a trip. Had a great time. I was feeling a little lost this week but I still have lots of stuff to do for insurance. I'm also missing you, my customer. I have been offered some retail space so that I can teach some classes, clubs and any body that needs help. This is a temporily space till I can make final decisions. My hours are going to some what fexible (no set hours at this time). I do want to continue with Embroidery Club, Sewing/Quilt Club & Software Sampler Club, so any schedule February club won't meet in the month of Feb. but I'm planning on back to normal schedule in March for clubs.
